• This station came to us as a female who you discovered has ovarian cancer.

  • Some tips since most of our group forgot:

    • Ask about red flags: SUICIDE! This is very important and most of us missed this
    • Make sure to ask about the patient’s support system outside the hospital; do they live with their family.
    • Ensure the patient is safe to go home — how did they get here, did they drive or are they with someone?
    • Give the patient time to process, and explain the next steps clearly. When referring the patient mention the exact department they will be going to and why (in this case GYN ONC).
